Tess Hernández
MSc Chemistry, 2020
Tess's research focused on the impact of zoo-aligned Introductory Chemistry curriculum for conceptual learning, and zoo and conservation perspectives. She had a paper accepted to the Integrative and Comparative Biology Journal. She now works at the Wonderful Company.
Jordyn Kamitono
BSc Biology, 2019
Jordyn's work focused on the impact of a zoo-context laboratory structure on students' conceptual learning and engagement in an Introductory Chemistry course. She presented her research as an undergraduate at the American Chemical Society (ACS) in New Orleans and also at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference in Toronto, Canada. After her BSc, she pursued Pharmacy at the California Health Sciences University (CHSU) in Clovis.
Jennifer Click

Jennifer's research investigated preservice teachers' ownership of science concepts in guided-inquiry laboratory settings compared to a conventional laboratory approach. Jennifer presented her research at the AERA conference in Toronto, Canada. She also co-authored a paper in the Journal of Science Education and Technology. She teaches at Edison High School in Fresno.
Sara Meadows

Sara's research studied the impact of a guided-inquiry laboratory versus a conventional laboratory approach on pre-service elementary teachers' Physical Science conceptual development. Sara presented her research at the AERA conference in Toronto, Canada. She teaches at Edison High School in Fresno.
Anthony Hinde
MSc Chemistry, 2018
Anthony's research focused on the lecture-based approaches in teaching Physical Science content to pre-service K-8 teachers and their impact on conceptual development. He presented his research at the AERA conference in New York. He is now a lecturer in the Chemistry Department at CSU Bakersfield.
