Community Chemistry
Dr. Donnelly-Hermosillo is active in the local community with over 50 events at local schools and community events, many alongside the Fresno State Chemistry Club, that encourage participants to engage in fun and educational Chemistry activities.

Dr. Donnelly-Hermosillo is an Assistant Director of the STEM Education Center. He is also Chair of the university student ratings subcommittee and the university GE committee, and an academic senate member.
He has reviewed Learning Management Systems (LMS) as part of a faculty learning community, been a Faculty Lead for the DISCOVERe Mobile Technology Program, and, been a campus coordinator for Affordable Learning Solutions. He is also a former President of the Tenure-track Faculty Organization (TFO) and a former Faculty Advisor to the Chemistry Club.

Dr. Donnelly-Hermosillo is a member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the American Chemical Society (ACS), and the California Association of Science Education (CASE).
Dr. Donnelly-Hermosillo has reviewed over 130 submissions for over 10 international journals including the Review of Educational Research (RER), the Journal of the Learning Sciences (JLS), and Computers and Education.
He has received several awards including a Fresno State Outstanding Teaching Award (2022-2023), a Fresno State Distinguished Service Award (2019-2020), Fresno State Provost Promising New Faculty Award, two AERA Outstanding Reviewer Awards, two Publon Awards, a UC Berkeley Postdoc Leadership Award, and a national Irish Ph.D. award.
